The World of Words is a digitized experience which explores the relationship between language and images. Through this program you will explore themes of identity and self discovery by captioning evocative images with a word that does not directly label the contents of the image. For example, you cannot label an image of a dog with the word 'dog,' but you can instead caption it 'best friend,' or 'happiness,' or whatever word(s) come to mind. When you click the "start" button below, an image will appear as well as a text box. In the text box you will type your caption and click the "Save Caption" button. The caption will be displayed so you can reflect on the relationship between your words and the stimulus image. You may begin when you are ready.
